Drag was captured at Redhead Beach using a slow shutter speed, a deliberate gamble in a place where waves don’t wait around. Shooting this way means committing early, tracking the motion, and accepting that most waves won’t line up. Miss the timing by a fraction and the moment is gone.

I stood in the water letting the wave pull past the lens, dragging colour and texture across the frame. The result isn’t about freezing power, but showing it, the weight, speed, and direction all rolled into one movement. This approach comes with risk, fewer keepers, more wipeouts, more moments where nothing works. But every now and then, it does.
